Mirage RC Enterprises are proud to announce that former BRCA 1/8th National Champion and 1/8th European A Finalist, Jon Hazlewood has signed for Team XRAY supported by Mirage RC Enterprises for 2006 onwards.
Jon has a long association with 1/8th Buggy racing and is highly regarded trackside having clinched the 2004 BRCA 1/8th National Championship and narrowly missing out on retaining his title last year.
Jon will be running the superbly designed XRAY XB8TQ model, the latest offering from the fantastic XRAY XB8 family. Jon will be supported trackside by long term friend and racer Jon Dell (pit crew) and will join up with XRAY Team Driver Ryan Donavan who successfully ran the XB8 last year. With Jon and Ryan at the controls, the XRAY Team will form one of the strongest line-ups in the UK for 1/8th scale in 2006.
Jon had this to say about his move to XRAY - "After an extremely successful 2005 season - both nationally and at European events - naturally my goals for this year have been raised. After careful consideration I am delighted to have accepted the opportunity to join XRAY for 2006. I look forward to trying to regain the UK National Championship title and compete at the highest level at the European and World Championships.
The quality and professionalism of XRAY and their products has always impressed me and I have watched their 1/8th off-road program grow from strength to strength. Hopefully I can play a part in the constant development of this and I eagerly await the start of the new racing season."
